Africa as a recruitment direction
Kenya, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana and Ethiopia are markets with a very young population and a large pool of people with experience in manufacturing, construction, agriculture and logistics. For Polish employers this means access to candidates in a market that isn't yet as heavily tapped as some Asian routes.
- Large availability of candidates for physical and technical positions
- English is frequently spoken at a communicative level
- High motivation for long-term employment
- Prior experience gained in Gulf-region labour markets
Where independent recruitment usually fails
| Stage | Risk when recruiting on your own | Role of the agency |
|---|---|---|
| Sourcing candidates | Job ads reach random people | A network of local partners and recruiters |
| Verification | No way to check CVs and documents | Pre-selection and on-the-ground interviews |
| Documents | Formal errors add months to the procedure | Compiling and checking documentation |
| Visa | No familiarity with the consulate's practice | Preparing the candidate for the visa process |
| Arrival | No logistics or support after landing | Organising transport and airport pickup |
How our process works
- 1
Brief and position profile
We define the headcount, requirements, conditions and the date by which workers must be on site.
- 2
Candidate pre-selection
We verify experience, documents and motivation. Practical and language tests are optional and separately paid.
- 3
Presentation and client decision
You receive candidate profiles and decide who moves on to the next stage.
- 4
Legalisation
We handle the work permit, residence documents and preparation for the visa process.
- 5
Arrival and onboarding
We organise transport, hand the worker over to the plant, and stay in touch after the start.
We do not promise candidates "in 14 days". For African recruitment routes, the realistic time from decision to arrival is 3–5 months, and you get that schedule in writing.
Legality and responsibility
A recruitment agency operates on the basis of an entry in the KRAZ register. It is the employer who is responsible for the legality of employment, which is why complete and correct documentation is essential – it is exactly what a Labour Inspectorate (PIP) or Border Guard check will look at. We keep documentation ready to be presented at any time.
Frequently asked questions
Do African workers need a work permit in Poland?
Yes. Nationals of African countries need a work permit and a residence title – usually a national visa first, followed by a temporary residence and work permit.
How long does it take to recruit workers from Africa?
A realistic schedule is 3–5 months from signing the agreement to the workers' arrival. The timeline is driven mainly by official procedures and visa appointment availability.
Do candidates go through professional skills tests?
The standard is pre-selection: verification of experience and documents plus an interview. Practical or language tests are organised additionally, at the client's request and for an extra fee.
