Shipyard welding
Hai Phong and Quang Ninh are a welding heartland, with experience on hulls, tanks and structures. Welding coupons with VT assessment are done before the candidate departs.

Shipyards in Hai Phong, electronics plants in Bac Ninh, processing in the Mekong Delta. Vietnam is a global manufacturing hub and the lowest-turnover origin we work with. We run the whole process: sourcing, labour market test, type A permit, DOLAB registration, national D visa and relocation.
Vietnam · South-East Asia
For two decades Vietnam has been a factory to the world: electronics, garments, footwear, furniture, seafood processing and shipbuilding. Candidates come from plants exporting to the European Union, Japan and Korea, so they know quality standards, process control and large-scale shift work.
Two profiles define this origin. The first is welding and structural work: shipyards in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh have trained welders to international standards for years. The second is precision assembly and electronics, where candidates from Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen bring exceptional manual dexterity and patience with repetitive operations.
Formally Vietnam requires the full path: labour market test, type A permit, registration of the contract with the Vietnamese DOLAB and a national D visa in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. The DOLAB stage is specific to this origin. It lengthens the process but removes the risk of the candidate arriving in debt to informal brokers.

Hai Phong and Quang Ninh are a welding heartland, with experience on hulls, tanks and structures. Welding coupons with VT assessment are done before the candidate departs.
Candidates from Samsung plants and their suppliers in Bac Ninh know SMD assembly, visual inspection and cleanroom work. The highest manual precision in South-East Asia.
Vietnamese workers arrive with a specific financial goal and a multi-year plan. Mid-contract departures are rare, which makes this the most stable origin in our portfolio.
Discipline, punctuality and respect for hierarchy. Output standards and quality procedures need no explanation, because candidates already know them from their home plants.
The Vietnamese community is one of the oldest and largest Asian communities in Poland. Adaptation is faster: familiar food, community support and interpreters on the ground.
Technicians and crew leaders from export plants communicate in English, which lets you build a team around a leader who translates instructions for the rest of the crew.
Qualifications
Vietnamese vocational education is closely tied to export manufacturing. The candidate profile includes a scanned diploma, certificates, employment history at named plants, an English assessment and, for welders, welding coupon documentation.
Welding certificates
Qualifications from shipyards and structural fabricators, specifying process, position and material. Before departure we arrange welding coupons with visual assessment, and complete the EN ISO 9606-1 examination in Poland.
Vocational college diplomas
Vietnamese technical colleges train machine operators, electricians, mechanics and electronics technicians. Programmes include plant placements, so graduates arrive with real shop-floor hours.
Industrial employment history
We verify work at named employers: shipyards, electronics plants, seafood processing facilities, garment factories and furniture manufacturers producing for export.
Previous overseas contracts
Many candidates previously worked in Japan, South Korea or Taiwan. That means familiarity with quality regimes, discipline and life away from family.
The region of origin translates directly into the candidate's professional profile.
Hai Phong and Quang Ninh
Shipbuilding and heavy industry. The main source of welders, structural fitters and metalworkers.
Hanoi, Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen
The electronics and precision assembly belt. Line operators, SMD technicians and quality controllers. The embassy and DOLAB are also based here.
Nghe An and Ha Tinh
Regions with the highest readiness for overseas work. Construction, production and warehouse workers with contract experience across Asia.
Mekong Delta and Can Tho
Seafood and food processing. Candidates experienced in filleting, packing and cold store work.
Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong
Furniture, garments, logistics and light industry. The Polish Consulate General and the best flight connections.
We run the process in five stages: call, quote and contract; sourcing and screening in Vietnam; labour market test and type A permit; DOLAB registration and national D visa; relocation and onboarding. Every stage has a clear deadline and a complete document set.

We do not quote a single price per worker – the budget depends on the role, headcount and region. It always consists of the same items, so agency offers can be compared without hidden costs. For Vietnam two things drive the schedule most: DOLAB contract registration and consular slot availability in Hanoi. We factor both into the quote from day one.

Industries
Vietnam is an industrial origin with two strong pillars: heavy shipyard welding and precision electronics assembly. Below are the industries where this origin delivers the best results.
Welders from the shipyards of Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, experienced on hulls, tanks and pipework. Welding coupons with VT assessment before departure.
Candidates from electronics plants in Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen: SMD assembly, visual inspection, gloved work and cleanroom conditions. The highest manual precision in the region.
Machine operators, maintenance mechanics and line workers used to output standards and shift work in large export plants.
The Mekong Delta is a global seafood processing hub. Filleting, portioning, packing and cold store work with no ramp-up period.
Candidates from Nghe An and Ha Tinh with contract experience in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. They know large sites and tight schedules.
Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City are a hub for furniture and clothing exported to the EU. Joiners, machinists and warehouse staff with series production experience.
If the shortest lead time is your priority, Georgia will be faster. We use Vietnam where precision, discipline and a long, stable contract matter most.
Roles
The strongest side of this origin is welding trades and roles requiring manual precision. For welders we arrange welding coupons and calls with your welding engineer before any decision.

A comparison of typical differences in process and candidate profile.
| Criterion | Vietnam | Other origins |
|---|---|---|
| Candidate profile | Shipyard welding, electronics, precision | More often light manufacturing and entry-level roles |
| Turnover | Very low – multi-year contracts | Higher, especially on visa-free origins |
| Legal basis | Type A permit, DOLAB and national D visa | PUP declaration (Georgia) or the type A route only |
| Process time | 4 to 6 months | 3 to 6 weeks (Georgia) or 3 to 5 months (Philippines) |
| Language | Vietnamese, English among technicians | English (Philippines) or Russian (Central Asia) |

Cultural integration
Vietnamese teams settle in very smoothly, provided communication and a few organisational matters are set up at the start. Below are four issues that in practice decide whether the first year runs without turnover.
Language barrier on the shop floor
Vietnamese has nothing in common with Polish, and English can be limited. The fix is simple: an English-speaking crew leader, workstation instructions in Vietnamese and pictograms at the machines.
Food and meals
Rice, vegetables and soups are dietary staples. Access to a kitchen in the accommodation and an Asian grocery nearby genuinely affect team wellbeing – and both are easy to find in Poland.
Residence and banking formalities
Residence registration, PESEL, a bank account and the residence card application fill the first weeks. The coordinator books appointments and tracks deadlines so legal status is never interrupted.
Climate and the first weeks
Candidates from southern Vietnam have never experienced sub-zero temperatures. A winter clothing pack on arrival and scheduling arrivals outside the coldest weeks measurably reduce drop-outs.
Short answers to questions about recruiting workers from Vietnam.
Yes. Vietnam is not covered by the simplified declaration procedure, so a type A work permit issued by the voivode is required, followed by a national D visa obtained at the Polish Embassy in Hanoi or the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
Realistically 4 to 6 months from contract signature to the first day at work. The labour market test and type A permit usually take 6 to 10 weeks, DOLAB clearance and document preparation another 4 to 6 weeks, and the visa procedure 6 to 10 weeks. Consular slots in Hanoi can be distant, so we book them in advance.
DOLAB (Department of Overseas Labour) is the Vietnamese authority supervising overseas employment. The contract and employment terms must be registered by a licensed sending partner. It is an extra stage that other origins do not have, but it also guarantees the candidate leaves legally and free of debt to informal brokers.
In most cases yes, and the starosta issues a statement confirming that local recruitment was not possible. Exemptions apply to occupations on the regional shortage list, which often includes welders and machine operators. We check this at the very start because it drives the schedule.
Vietnamese is the native language. English is workable among technicians and staff from electronics plants, weaker among production workers. For larger groups the standard solution is an English-speaking crew leader plus workstation instructions translated into Vietnamese.
Vietnam is one of Asia's strongest welding markets, with shipyards in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh working to international standards. We verify certificates on paper, arrange welding coupons with VT assessment before departure, and complete the EN ISO 9606-1 examination after arrival in Poland.
Welding and shipbuilding, electronics and precision assembly, industrial manufacturing, food and seafood processing, furniture and garment production. Vietnam is a global manufacturing hub, so candidates already work to quality regimes and output standards.
This is the lowest-turnover origin in our portfolio. Candidates are disciplined, punctual and focused on a long contract, usually with a financial goal for their family. They value clear hierarchy, concrete instructions and a stable roster, and treat overtime as an advantage of the offer.
Yes. Vietnamese people form one of the largest and oldest Asian communities in Poland, present for decades. That makes adaptation genuinely easier: available food products, community support and interpreters in larger cities.
Accommodation provided by the employer or the agency is the standard. We arrange flights from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, airport transfer, housing that meets sanitary requirements, registration of residence, a PESEL number and a bank account.
A type A permit is usually issued for up to three years and can be extended. After arrival the worker can apply for a single permit for residence and work, which secures continuity of employment without leaving Poland.
The budget consists of official fees in Poland, visa and service fees, DOLAB handling and translations, flights and relocation, onboarding after arrival and the agency fee. We prepare the quote for a specific role and headcount, with no hidden items.
